Job Description:
The main purpose of this position is to create training videos geared toward journalists, citizen activists and NGO organizers.
The tasks will include writing scripts, shooting, editing with Final Cut Pro or other professional editing software, recording screen casts, recording voice overs, mixing audio and outputting completed videos to be uploaded online.
The duties will also include monitoring and clipping TV appearances by staffers and uploading them to YouTube.
The Associate Video Producer will participate in promoting and engaging audiences of video work across online media and social networks.
A strong online show reel or online portfolio of previous work that includes examples of footage both filmed and edited by the candidate, demonstrating both technical knowledge as well as creativity
Solid editing skills, including mixing audio, with Final Cut Pro Suite or similar professional NLE system, with at least 3 years of experience as a professional editor
Sound understanding and experience with most common online video formats, platforms and codecs
At least 3 years of studio and/or on-location production experience, including shooting with digital HD cameras and ideally DSLRs, audio recording using different kinds of microphones and working with studio and/or portable lighting
Ability to produce high quality online videos independently from start to finish
