Job Description:
The Manager will work closely with the Director of Institutional Relations and Campaign to achieve an annual $6M contributed income goal. The Manager will work to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward institutional donors for the Apollo Theater Foundation, Inc. (ATF) with a focus on strategies to attract new institutional prospects and enhance the current level of support. The position will also be responsible for government grants.
Essential Job Functions:
Work with Director of Institutional Relations and Campaign to plan and monitor goals for the institutional portfolio, which includes annual and campaign donors
Develop letters of inquiry, proposals, presentations, general correspondence, acknowledgements, and reports, particularly for foundation and government donors and prospects
Write and edit internal foundation briefings, status reports, summaries and other informational documents for senior staff
Ensure accuracy of institutional giving calendar and tracking system for grant related information in Raisers Edge and other formats
Stewardship of donors and prospects, particularly foundation and government
Plan and coordinate events in conjunction with other development staff to cultivate donors and prospects
Manage special projects as directed
