A veteran in this field is someone who is familiar with/has experienced all aspects of the PR industry
What is the main responsibility of someone in your role?
Manage/Secure press for clients. Facilitate press tours/campaigns with studios/networks for clients who are promoting projects. Help create and/or maintain client image to the public. Signing business with senior publicist.

Internship

What inspired you to get into the media and entertainment industry?
I was lured into a seemingly glamorous job. While the job did not prove to be glamorous, the work load becomes addictive for those who enjoy a fast paced environment.
What inspired you to pursue this area of the industry?
Its extremely challenging and never dull/boring
What was your “path” to your role?
I met the partner of the company who brought me in for an interview and I began as an assistant.
What is the most important skill set one needs to excel in this role?
Resourcefulness. Exhaust every avenue before you take no for an answer.
What do you like the most? Like the least?
I'm NEVER bored. But I'm always tired. The work never stops. Its a 24 hour job.

What is the best thing someone could do to truly become educated, trained and to understand your industry?
Be willing to do anything (literally anything) and step outside of your comfort zone. Know that you're not above any task.
What is the best thing someone could do to get a foot in the door in your industry?
Intern, volunteer your time to learn and absorb.
