Summary of Position
The Coordinator, Business & Legal Affairs position requires a talented individual who will handle a variety of legal and administrative duties in support of daily operations for the Business & Legal Affairs team.
Responsibilities
• Provide administrative assistance for multiple attorneys, including answering and managing calls, scheduling meetings and conference calls, and managing calendars and all other administrative assistance
• Maintain form agreements and detailed status report
• Manage the execution, distribution, and filing of agreements
• Draft correspondence, memos, rights summaries, and notices for internal circulation
• Manage expense reports, payment statements, and invoices
• Redline and draft agreements and amendments
• Interface with third party lawyers, producers and several internal departments
• Conduct legal research on various issues, including rights analysis and recent developments in Entertainment Law
Qualifications
and Skills
• JD degree and admitted to practice law in the State of California (or pending bar examination results)
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines and capable of working with confidential legal information (legal experience preferred)
• Possess excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Docusign etc.)
• Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
Nice to Haves
• Experience working at an entertainment law firm, talent agency and/or television or motion picture studio or production company
• Experience reading and handling entertainment legal contracts
• General knowledge and understanding of the entertainment industry
• Strong interpersonal skills, including: a professional presence; experience as a team player; and ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with other individuals across the company
• Willingness to take initiative; self-starter who is organized and able to work without close supervision
