Your New Role...
WBD is looking for an Associate Editor to join TNT Sports. Positioned within our Emmy Award -winning Creative Services Sports Unit (CSSU), this role offers the chance to work alongside the best in the business. We seek an Associate Editor who not only excels in editing fundamentals, but also has an enthusiasm for sports. Your creativity and ability to adapt will be your tools to thrive, contributing to various aspects of our team's needs. This role is tailor-made for the ambitious and driven editor who wants to work with a passionate group of creatives.
Role Accountabilities...
• Organizing, transcoding, and transferring media for session materials (e.g. films and episodes to and from library, shoot footage, etc.)
• Creating and preparing projects (gathering, organizing, and importing media; creating skeleton sequences for spots)
• Pulling selects and creating clip reels
• Cutting season premiere campaigns, overflow creative work, bumps, cutdowns, etc.
• Creating temp graphics for spots (lower thirds, end pages, etc.)
• Prepping projects for color and audio
• Versioning spots with different graphics and audio mixes
• Prepping projects for delivery and archive
• Integrating the use of scopes, audio mixers, and automated processes to QC media before it is delivered for air and digital
• Understanding and executing intricate deliverables for air and digital
• Work autonomously when needed – this is part of why knowing our sports properties is a must!
• Work effectively in a hybrid remote environment collaborating closely with a team of project managers, producers and editors.
Qualifications and Experiences...
• Very skilled in Adobe Premiere and After Effects
• Experienced with asset and project management software – namely Strawberry and IPV
• Extensive knowledge of sports, internet, social media, and popular culture.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Thorough understanding of post-production processes and database management
• Ability to prep editing material for sessions
• Must be able to perform under very tight deadlines
• Must be self-motivated, intuitive, and take initiative
• Solid customer service skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong communicator, high attention to detail, meticulous organizational skills, excellent time management skills
• Previous post-production television experience preferred
